I've never owned a volume pedal but what immediately impressed me about the MVP was that it has a 20db gain boost control and a min control that lets you set up to 50% of level for the heel down position meaning you can set a clean & dirty tone without altering your guitar volume and either quickly switch between them or use the pedal to gradually increase and decrease the gain. On a clean tone you can obviously use it as 2 separate volume levels. The Tuner output can be used at any volume, with any tuner, without any effect on audio signal.

No high frequency loss at any volume. Works with active and passive audio signals. Can be placed anywhere in the signal chain. Improved sweep for ideal volume control, 9v batttery or AC adapter powered.

After i finally killed it after a decade plus ov abuse, i just quit using one for years until recently when musician's friend offered me a great e-coupon discount.I decided it was time own a new one.I got the basic standard model since i don't go out for all the suped-up models.they are just not for me. I like the original set up and am very pleased with my purchase and musician's friends great deals and punctual shipping.very pleased, I am to put it simply. I actually got this wah second hand.

I think that is a very established flaw. That I can live with. I mount my effects on a board and use a power supply so no big deal. The bottom plate looks caved in. I seems very thin and flimsy.

The rest of it is a iron tank.The Sound: This is the meat of the matter. Although it has a good sound the 'sweep' is not ideal.

Its very one side or the other. I'm sure you can adjust for that with technic but it seems like a unnatural movement.

Toe down it sounds very shrill. Maybe you can over come that with amp setting but unless you plan on keeping it on the whole song whats the use. Heel down covers everything up where you can not be heard through the mix. The pedal sounds ok by its self but in real application your sound get lost in the fray. You'd need a boost, but then you'd regret it when you put the toe down.I also have a Modtone wah. Same price, but it gives you some nice features like LED, True by-pass, and more vocal 'wah' sound.

I ran them through the passes side by side and the modtone won. Dunlop makes good wahs, but this isn't one of the better ones.

I got the CryBaby for Christmas, so I've only been using it a couple weeks. The previous wah I used was a Vox Wah setting on my Korg AX3000G. Before anybody says anything, the Vox Wah is licensed and it's circuitry is used in the AX3000G. I didn't like the way the Vox Wah sounded at all. The range on the CryBaby is perfect, the axis of the pedal itself is tight and it's very smooth and natural sounding to my ears.

I'm still learning to play with the CryBaby, but I'm already in love with this thing. As for quality, this thing is built like a tank. Very sturdy, it has a nice heft to it, and the rubber feet will make it stick to the ground. I highly recommend this wah pedal to anybody who is looking for a fantastic, quality-made wah pedal for their first pedal. I have been playing for 20 years. I have tried several wahs and this is the one. It has that classic sound and the responsiveness needed for effortless use. This model in particular is the best I have used. I have tried the 'Fasel' Classic version but I sold that and came back to this one. I tried the Morley road too.nope, this is the one. Sounds great with 'buckers or singles.
